This is where it all started, 7 years ago! Here are a few things I had to sacrifice to build TOUCH:
2019 - 2023 I went to every marketing event I could find in Jax and joined BNI executing a minimum of three networking meetings per week, 3 years straight.
2019-2021 I was up until 1 AM building the website in booking platform, logo and brand. I originally built everything out myself.
2020 Signed my first official lease for 1 treatment room in Ponte Vedra & spent 500 a month in google Ads.
2021 Leased a second room & hired my first assistant.
2021 Offered free massages at events for marketing & hosting reiki circles for $25.
2021-2022 I worked 8AM-7PM many days building my books. I became 4 months booked out.
2022 My relationship suffered, my family suffered and I developed severed adrenal fatigue.
2022 Leased a third treatment room in PV, hired 2 more assistants, hosted monthly events & worked monthly vendor fairs / private parties.
2023 Moved to Neptune Beach, spent 12K of my personal funds to build out the office. We didn’t hardly sleep for 2 months building her out. My family helped paint, install trim and Aura painted our door purple.
2023 I paid over $800 a month in advertising out of my own funds, I didn’t take home a full paycheck (everything extra went back into the business while still worked a full schedule)
2024 I had 4 independent contractors working at TOUCH, taught monthly Reiki Certification Classes, sound baths and Reiki Circles.
2025 Promoted our lead massage therapist as office manager and I cut my hours. I became extremely fatigued - was forced to stop massage due pain.
2025 Invested $20K in Coaching & Mentorship programs.
2025 Nominated top 5 best Massage Business in JAX
2026 Jennifer manages TOUCH & offers all of our massage treatments, I work 1 day a week offering Reiki Healing, offer quarterly Reiki Certification classes and am finally on salary.
