Today our residents enjoyed a very special treat from Backyard Buddies out of Lakehurst, New Jersey. Thank you so much to backyard buddies for bringing all of these amazing animals to our residents and being so wonderful to work with!

The ladies of Jersey Shore postacute got a very special treat this week when Andrea, our Social Workers mom came in with her friends and taught them how to play Mahjong. Everyone had an amazing time. Thank you to Anna and all the amazing Seniors at Long Branch Senior Center for inviting JSPA to host Bingo! Everyone enjoyed a delicious bagel breakfast hosted by the Center and muffins, cupcakes and doughnuts supplied by JSPA. There were many lucky winners who all received ShopRite gift cards from JSPA. It was a fun day!

“Rehab Sucess Spotlight”

At 69 years old, Mr. Reilly, arrived at Jersey Shore Post Acute following a serious motor vehicle accident with multiple orthopedic injuries, including lumbar spine fractures (L3–L5), an S1 fracture, complex pelvic fractures requiring an external fixator, and a right ulna fracture treated with ORIF.

Recognizing his complex mobility needs, our team ordered a specialized convertible transfer chair to ensure safe movement and early progression. Through the exceptional collaboration of our PT, OT, and nursing team, he steadily rebuilt his strength, balance, and confidence.

He walked out of our facility completely independently, without an assistive device. An incredible example of teamwork, expertise, and patient determination 💪

At JSPA, we are thankful for our dedicated and caring staff, our amazing residents and their families, our physicians and our wonderful and supportive community.

JSPA celebrated Thanksgiving by giving back to the community with a food drive where we partnered with Kate from Alvita care and donated food to Monmouth and Ocean County food bank”.

We served our residents and many of their families a wonderful Thanksgiving meal where the department heads participated and served the residents with white glove service a fabulous gourmet meal. We had a wonderful thanksgiving parade that all of the residents enjoyed.

JSPA gave out Thanksgiving Apple pies to all of our staff and physicians in appreciation for all they do!

From our JSPA family to yours…. We wish you a beautiful, blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving!
