UMC - Abundant Life for Seniors

UMC - Abundant Life for Seniors Our mission is compassionately serving our communities so that all are free to choose Abundant Life.

Abundant living at United Methodist Communities is guided by our team of associates who bring empathy and energy to their work, every day. Our associates share a special bond and connection with the people they serve and care for. We also believe that an abundant life should embrace the spiritual, emotional, physical and social aspects of one’s life. This focus on cultivating and nurturing the whole person translates to a meaningful and enjoyable lifestyle. Whatever you are passionate about is what we are passionate about. Life at United Methodist Communities is not the same-old, same old. An abundant life takes shape in so many ways: stretch your mind with amusing puzzles and games, hop on board as you take in an antique car show, see what’s cooking at a colorful culinary workshop, join a line dance to show off your moves. With a never-ending variety of activities and amenities you can rekindle those things you love and explore new pursuits. And best of all, you’ll have like-minded people to enjoy the memorable moments and engaging events you create at United Methodist Communities.

Outstanding hospitality truly defines the UMC experience. We are excited to see our Elevation Hospitality program come to life at Collingswood Manor, a UMC Community, as we celebrate teammates like Angela who make every day for our residents exceptional!

At UMC, we believe that outstanding hospitality leads to exceptional resident experiences.

Our Elevation Hospitality program at Collingswood Manor is designed to elevate the everyday by going above and beyond and transform routine interactions into moments of personalized service, thoughtful gestures, and heartfelt engagement.

We are proud to celebrate one of this month's Peak Performers, Angela Hoopes, from our Building Services team! We are so grateful for all of Angela's hard work and dedication to our residents and the entire Collingswood Manor family.

A proud moment for UMC at TEDxCapeMay! 😃

This past Sunday, our President & CEO, Mark Lenhard, took the stage at Convention Hall for TEDxCapeMay 2025: Being Human.

Mark's talk focused on re-envisioning aging successfully and exploring what it means to age and live abundantly, both as individuals and as members of an engaged, multi-generational community.

The day was an incredible success, and Mark's message received an enthusiastic response from both attendees and fellow presenters. It was truly an honor to be part of this special program devoted to sharing "ideas worth spreading."

Huge thanks to the TEDxCapeMay organizers, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes who made this inspiring event run so smoothly. TEDx will release the official video of Mark's talk in late November, and we can't wait to share it with you once it's available.

In the meantime, enjoy some of these behind-the-scenes photos from Sunday and stay tuned for further insights from this special event!

From the TEDxCape May stage at Cape May Convention Hall on October 5th, Mark Lenhard will propose a transformative shift in understanding what it means to “age successfully.”

Moving beyond the traditional quantitative markers of senior healthcare, Mark will emphasize the importance of qualitative aspects of quality of life. He will explore how both traditional and unexpected partners can collaborate with senior living providers to reframe aging as positive, natural experience. By taking a “hopeful contrarian” approach to questioning and re-examining traditional methods, this presentation will chart a course towards innovative practices that challenge stereotypes and create and environment where aspiration for life can continue at any age.
