We kicked off the 2026 GSA Foundation Spring Concert Series in a big way earlier this week at the PNC Bank Arts Center for an "Afternoon with Sinatra & Friends" with the very talented Rick Michel!

UMC and UMCF are once again proud to be Standing Ovation Sponsors for the Spring 2026 season, and we look forward to all the great music and fun times to come with three shows still on the calendar.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who swung by our tables to say hello, and a special shoutout to our very own Senior Vice President for People and Culture, Dave Glenn, who gave some rockin' remarks prior to the show!

This National Nurses Week, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses across all UMC communities who care for our residents each day. Their compassion, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment make a meaningful difference in the lives of everyone we serve.

This appreciation was brought to life at The Shores, a UMC Community, where a special luncheon was held to celebrate their nurses and the vital role they play.

To all of our nurses — thank you for the dedication you bring to your work, not just this week, but every day.

We are proud to announce that UMC has been certified a Great Place to Work for nine years in a row!

“This year’s results are especially meaningful because they show growth, not just consistency. More of our teammates are telling us they feel proud to work at UMC, that their voices matter, and that their work truly makes a difference," says David Glenn, Senior Vice President of People and Culture at UMC.

Our favorite moment of the week! 😍

The grounds of Pitman Manor, a UMC Community were filled with music, laughter, and little hands at work when preschool students from Pitman Public Schools' Memorial Elementary School paid our residents a special visit!

They sang sweet songs 🎶 gifted mini gardens 🌱 and created colorful artwork 🖍— reminding us how fun intergenerational connection can be.

We’re proud to share that Meghan Artrip, an inspiring teammate at Bristol Glen, a UMC Community, our continuing care retirement community in Newton, NJ, has been named a SafelyYou Care Champion Hero — a national recognition honoring caregivers who go above and beyond to support safety, dignity, and quality of life in memory care.

As a CNA and CMA in Bristol Glen’s Tapestries memory support neighborhood, Meghan is known for her compassion and advocacy for residents who may not always be able to speak for themselves. Her recognition is a powerful example of the extraordinary people who bring UMC’s mission to life every day across our communities. https://umcommunities.org/bristol-glen/blog/bristol-glen-s-meghan-artrip-named-safelyyou-care-champion-hero/

This National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the incredible people who support our mission! 🤝

Our volunteers bring compassion and excitement to our communities across New Jersey, helping us create meaningful experiences for the seniors we serve.

We are especially grateful for the many volunteers whose connection to UMC began through a loved one who lives in one of our communities, or once did, and who continue to give back because UMC still feels like home. Your generosity and commitment mean more than you know. 💙

UMC has reimagined the move‑in experience with Ribbon & Room Service — a signature welcome designed to ensure every resident at our full‑service communities feels at home from day one.

This program is part of our broader Elevation Hospitality initiative, a culture‑building commitment focused on creating meaningful experiences that go beyond expectations through thoughtful gestures, personalized service, and genuine human connection. https://umcommunities.org/resources/blog/cutting-the-ribbon-on-a-new-beginning-welcoming-residents-with-ribbon-room-service/
