What are those automatic words/phrases you speak to yourself everyday that hold you back?

✨If you didn’t feel this way or speak this way towards yourself, how would you act or feel differently?

✨When we picture those limiting beliefs melting away, it can help clarify where we want to spend our time and who we want to be.

✨Write these limiting phrases down in your phone, in a journal, wherever it is most likely you’ll go back to it.

& then re-write these beliefs to be more encouraging and supportive towards yourself

Example:

“I am useless because I didn’t get anything done today”
To ✍️ “I am trying my best right now even if it looks differently than I’d like it to”

** Anxiety, depression, body image issues and countless other struggles can be partly caused by the way we speak to ourselves everyday.
✨By consistently changing our language, we can literally re-wire our brain and begin to change ♥️

We know it is SO easy to think of a dozen ways we wish our body was different.

But we don’t have to have the “perfect” body (which of course doesn’t exist) to thank our body and acknowledge it for what it does for us everyday.

Is my body perfect? Absolutely not.
But today I was able to go to a doctor appointment, clean my house, and take care of my dogs all because my body was able to.

Give this exercise a try below to reframe your thoughts into thankful ones 👇🏻

When you find yourself “spiraling” down from one negative thought to another, follow these helpful tips👇🏻

1️⃣ Awareness. Being aware of when you are feeding negative thoughts is the first step to challenging and changing them.

2️⃣ Helpful or not? Ask yourself if the thought(s) are helping you or serving you in any way

3️⃣ Rephrase. Turn this unhelpful idea into a helpful one by rephrasing it. If this is hard for you, think of what you’d tell a friend to say.

Thoughts, emotions & behaviors are so interconnected and ultimately determine so much of our happiness & well being.

I know we might all be tired of talking about the pandemic.

✨but unfortunately, it has had a tremendous impact on our lives and the way we navigate our world. Each individual responded in their own way, and we all survived it differently

✨It may be difficult, but use this prompt to identify how you have grown, and what challenges you personally saw & overcame during this time.

It’s important to say that some people experienced terrible traumas during the pandemic - (trauma is always subjective, even if you feel what you went through “wasn’t so bad”, your mind and body could have processed it as trauma) & it’s OK if you are not yet ready to process these things.

Spend 5 minutes tonight identifying another emotion you are feeling right now.

💫Like we did earlier this week, write down any and all thoughts that make this emotion more intense

🌻 Personally, I am working on feeling overwhelmed. There are many thoughts that make this feeling SO much worse

🌞After writing down these thoughts, try to be aware over the next day when they come up

✨Use deep breaths, with slow exhales to relax your body as you need today
