Did you know that Colville Confederated Tribes EMS Fire & Rescue offers CRP and AED (automated external defibrillator) training for groups and individuals?
The cost is $80-85 per person depending on group size, but it's really an invaluable skill knowing how to save someone's life.
You will learn: CPR & AED use, First Aid basics, choking response, and emergency preparedness.

Here's the schedule of events for our Behavioral Health Program and Colville Tribes Youth Development Program 2026 MMIWP Awareness Gathering taking place at the Gov't Center in Nespelem on May 13 from 10a-2pm. Everyone is welcome to join us in remembrance, education, and reflection on how we can take steps to reduce the number of Indigenous people going missing or being murdered.

The Health Care Authority is offering a traditional practices workshop on how to smoke salmon led by Connie Shaver May 19 and 20 at the NEW Omak Clinic, 4 Siya Rd. Limited space is available!! Register at https://forms.gle/CRyAzVReh9QmfWr78.

Tuesday, May 19 participants will be learning to filet, cut and season the salmon.
Wednesday, May 20 participant will be learning how to smoke the fish and then pack and seal it. The times are still TBD and registered participants will be contacted with that info.

Please plan to attend both days if you register and wear clothes and shoes that you won't mind getting dirty.
