We’ve made some big changes to Whitley Ag in the last 6 months!
We no longer represent channel seed, we’re thrilled to be making the move to Becks!

N-fixing biologicals are quickly becoming a bigger part of farming. This survey says 75% of farmers have an interest in trying them. This year is our 4th year having Pivotbio on our farm, and our 3rd year selling it. Our current corn product fixes 40 pounds of nitrogen and our milo product fixes 25 pounds per acre, with higher amounts in the product pipeline. This year with high nitrogen prices, our customers were able to save 25-50 cents a pound compared to synthetic nitrogen. We also went from placing it on about 3,000 acres last year to over 20,000 acres this year. Many of our customers tried 40-80 acres last year and went whole farm this year. Across that many acres the savings are huge. If you’re interested in trying pivotbio, talk to us, or talk to a neighbor. Chances are they are giving it a try.

It’s about the time of year when we should be having our customer appreciation/field day. We don’t have to tell anyone how wild this year is so we’re going to postpone the event and have an after harvest party where we’ll have area harvest results and other learning opportunities, as well as the Chubbs Que and beverages which is why we know most of you come out anyway! If you still want to see plots just get ahold of us and we would love to show them on an individual basis whenever it works for you.
Hopefully everyone has a safe and rewarding harvest and we’ll see you afterwards!

Glad to finally have moisture to get in the field! We’ve gotten several test plots in this week and hope to finish irrigated corn before a nice rain delay! 🤞 Everyone have a good and safe Memorial weekend

Happy New Year! We know 2019 isn’t quite over yet but the first 2020 corn seed has arrived. More seed is on the way next week, let’s pray some rain is on the way soon!

2019 hasn’t been a fun year with the growing conditions we’ve dealt with but it has proven to us that we have a portfolio of products that can perform in any condition.
We’re excited for everyone to come out tonight and learn about our products but more importantly enjoy good food and good company!
