Have you ever wondered what it looks like when bones heal? You can see in these x-rays that Dr. Patrick recently took of a teenager who had a bad fall while skiing. Each x-ray is taken several weeks apart to monitor healing. The last x-ray, taken through a cast, shows the bone slowly knitting back together and smoothing out. At River Run Chiropractic, Dr. Patrick provides x-ray services to help you navigate life’s tougher moments with a little less stress and a little more ease.

Did you know Dr. Ryan takes X-Rays? A couple weeks ago Dr. Ryan got a Saturday call that a 14-year-old patient had taken a bad fall at Sugar Bowl and needed an x-ray. He met him at the office and took an x-ray to confirm the fracture. He then gave him a temporary splint and a referral to see a local sports medicine physician who confirmed the splint was the right course of action for this fracture. In a few days Dr. Ryan will take a new set of X-rays to confirm things are healing properly and soon enough this young man will be on his way again. Our x-rays are more accessible and affordable than anyone in town so keep us in mind for the next time you’re in a situation where you need to take a look inside.

Dr. Patrick is away all week, taking an adventurous once in a lifetime surf trip in Senegal. He’s traveling with his best friend from Chiropractic school at . The had a beautiful event yesterday recognizing the phenomenal achievement of becoming a site of national significance, awarded by the National Register of Historic Places. This honor recognizes new research finding that architect Julia Morgan designed this house in Grass Valley, and years later used the design as a model for Hostess Houses everywhere during WWI. The history of Mary Hallock Foote, Julia Morgan and strong women of the past 100+ years make this house not only a community treasure, but a National treasure that is now recognized as such. Thank you to all the volunteers and historians and docents who make this place what it is! What an amazing community we live in.
