This Sunday, weather permitting, I’m thrilled to be facilitating the warm up for the last outdoor Dance Church of the season with a fantastic lineup!

Humankind has a rich history of moving, dancing, and singing together to change our collective field of energy. We’ll embark on a soundmaking and movement journey into the heart of humming and freeform vocal expression, along with partnered movement in dyads and groups. What is the shape of the sounds you make? Where do different tones live in your body? How does the vibration of sound, without the constraints of speech, invite you to move more freely? Embodying the dynamics of your voice through pitch, intensity, vibration, and vowel phonation can be both energizing and deeply grounding, and will attune you to whatever surprises Dance Church may bring.

Since I got into Ecstatic Dance over a decade ago, it has reawakened my long-forgotten dream of going all-in on DJing. I’m still kind of pinching myself that I’ve managed to achieve it! And I’m beyond psyched to be playing my Nevada City next Tuesday, one of the biggest and best Ecstatic Dances I’ve ever had the transformative pleasure of attending. I’m currently working on a mostly ambient but also deeply bangin sub bass set for an event this Saturday 6/7 from 12:30-2:30pm at Alchemy Springs spa in SF ♨️

it’s a collab with and my friends at who build gorgeous tactile audio systems for whole body listening 🔊

I’ll be leading us through embodying the elements with a Soma Nidra practice, which is my somatic take on Yoga Nidra. We’ll travel through deep time together, exploring the scale-invariant intelligence of our bodies from cellular to universal. This will look like yin and restorative yoga, guided somatic and freeform movement, and conscious dance. No prior experience necessary!

Y’all, I could not be more excited to be part of the Dance Church MicroFest on Sunday 6/1. After spending the winter inside at The Elks Lodge, Dance Church is moving back outside for the warm weather, where we move and breathe together under the open sky at The Bodhi Hive Cedar Circle. It’s absolutely gorgeous🌲

There are DJ sets and workshops all day from noon-10pm, plus local food, elixirs, and vendors. Come hang! Bring a picnic blanket and all your friends! Make a day or weekend of it! My set is from 4:30-6pm, otherwise you can find me on the dance floor. Link in my bio for tix and all the details 💃🏼
