There’s a moment when learning stops feeling like enough.

You can understand the concepts.
You can study the process.
But sitting with someone in real time by supporting them and their family through something deeply human, that requires something more.

ELP Level III – Deepening the Path is designed for practitioners who are ready to move into that next stage.
Not just learning about the work, but practicing it.
Finding presence, communication, and the ability to support others with clarity and care.

This is where confidence begins to take shape.
Not in theory, but in real, shared experience.

If you’ve been looking for a way to feel more prepared in this work, this training was created for that step.

Join us for Death Demystified, a live radio conversation exploring topics around death, dying, and end-of-life care.

In this upcoming episode, Dr. Deerheart is joined by psychotherapist and neurodiversity advocate Sari Solden, MS, to explore how we can better understand and support neurodiverse individuals at the end of life.

Together, they discuss what neurodiversity means, and how this awareness can shape the way we listen, communicate, and offer care. This conversation invites a deeper look at how we can create a sense of safety, dignity, and belonging for everyone, especially during life’s final chapter.

All are welcome to listen.

Friday, March 27
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (PST)

This week, we recognize Doula Week.

Doulas offer compassionate support, steady presence, and guidance to individuals and families during some of life’s most meaningful transitions.

For some, this work begins with a quiet feeling—a sense of being drawn to support others in a deeper way.

If you’ve ever felt that pull, this may be a path worth exploring.

At The HeartWay, we offer training and opportunities for those who feel called to this work and want to develop the skills to support others with care and confidence.

Many people feel called to end-of-life work after completing an online course or introductory training. Those programs can provide a meaningful foundation, but many practitioners eventually realize that supporting individuals and families during real moments of transition requires more than what most think.

ELP Level III – Deepening the Path was created for doulas, practitioners, and caregivers who want to strengthen their skills through hands-on, in-person learning.

This five-day immersive training focuses on the human side of the work—presence, communication, understanding the needs of families, and learning how to confidently support those at end of life.

If you’ve taken online training and are ready to deepen your experience, this may be the next step in your path.

End-of-life work is often compared to walking through unfamiliar pathway.

For individuals and families, the path can feel overwhelming, filled with emotion, uncertainty, and important decisions. In those moments, the role of a practitioner or doula is not to control the path, but to help guide it.

At The HeartWay, we often say this work is like being a compass.

A compass doesn’t walk the path for someone.
It helps them find themselves.
It helps them move forward feeling supported, safe, and understood.

Learning how to offer that kind of presence takes more than theory. It grows through experience, practice, and learning how to support real people in real moments.

ELP Level III – Deepening the Path was created for doulas and practitioners who want to strengthen their hands-on skills and deepen their ability to guide clients and families through this meaningful work.

If you feel called to be a steady compass for others during life’s final chapter, this training may be the next step in your journey.

“Happiness doesn't depend on what we have, but it does depend on how we feel about what we have. We can be happy with little and miserable with much.”

This International Happiness Day, The HeartWay reminds you that true joy isn’t found in more—it’s found in meaning.

Pause. Appreciate. Shift your perspective.

What you already have might just be enough 💛

Some moments in life ask for quiet presence more than anything else.

A steady hand.
A listening heart.
Someone who understands how meaningful the final chapters of life can be.

At The HeartWay, we believe every person deserves to be met with dignity, compassion, and care during these moments. Through education, volunteer support, and community connection, we work to make that possible for families who need it most.

Compassion should never be out of reach.
