As I get older, the significance of Easter seems to hit me a little more each year..I’ve had a hard time putting my thoughts into words this year but this song has been on my heart the past few weeks so I wanted to share it ✨

Last year at my sons Easter program for school, the kids sang this song. As tears were streaming down my face I remember looking around the room and specifically noticing the amount of older men with tears running down their cheeks too. I wish I could have seen my dads face in that moment. There’s something so special about kids singing such powerful praises to Jesus; I know he would have been so proud! Being so young, I’m not sure any of them were really able to comprehend what they were singing about in that moments but the emotion and presence that was in the room was breathtaking.. Something I will never forget!

When you get a quiet moment to be still, listen to this song.. Read the lyrics while you listen and soak up every word! What Jesus did for us. The sacrifice he made for us. The true meaning of this Easter season that I pray we all can celebrate every day throughout the year 🤍✝️

I hope everyone had the most wonderful Christmas and took time to celebrate and ponder the real reason for the season 🤍🎄

Having such a special experience having a baby at home last Christmas morning; I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about many things involving the birth of Jesus over the past year.
The past couple days though, the sheperds have been on my heart. I’d never really spent much time thinking about them… and I think I’ve missed just how significant they really are in the story.
Can you imagine what that experience was like for them? To be the first ones to know the Savior of the world had arrived… The first to lay eyes on the baby boy who had come to save us all… To be the ones who got to spread the most wonderful news there ever will be! Can you imagine what that was like? Can you imagine the excitement they had as they ran through the streets proclaiming the good news? It gives me goosebumps to think about being in their shoes!

As I was reflecting on this it dawned on me that even now, many many years later, we can be like the sheperds… spreading the good news of Jesus’ birth! And I pray we can do it with as much excitement as the sheperds had on the night our Savior was born to save us all 🤍

Merry Christmas everyone (a few days late- but like I tell my kids- everyday is a day to celebrate Jesus’ birthday)! I’m so thankful for all of you and thankful you’re walking with me on this journey…seeing me grow as an esthetician but most importantly, growing in my walk with Jesus 🥹✨
