Honoring Juneteenth at Fast Comprehensive Care

Today we reflect on Juneteenth — a historic day marking the end of slavery in the United States and a reminder of the enduring importance of freedom, justice, and equal treatment for all.

At FCC, we believe every person deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity and compassion, regardless of background. Juneteenth reminds us of the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of standing for truth, respect, and healing — not just in healthcare, but in humanity.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “The time is always right to do what is right.”

Kindness is key. Equality matters. Every life has value.

🩺💙 Happy Nurses Week from Fast Comprehensive Care! 💙🩺

To the ones who hold the line, chart the chaos, calm the storms, and still manage to bring the laughs — we see you, we celebrate you, and we wouldn’t survive without you.

From Harrisonville to Nevada, FCC nurses are the pulse of our practice. You bring unmatched skill, unwavering grit, endless compassion, and just the right amount of sarcasm to get through anything.

✨ Thank you for every blood pressure check, every kind word, every late night, and every “but did you document it?” moment. You are fierce. You are fearless. You are the reason FCC is what it is.

👩‍⚕️ Felicia – Felicia is the kind of provider every clinic hopes to find but rarely does. She brings grit, grace, and clinical brilliance to every shift—and she does it without asking for credit. She leads calmly in chaos and works like a machine while caring like a human. Hustle like hers can’t be taught, and frankly, we’re just lucky to have her. 🧠💪🖤

🩺 Erica – Erica is the engine, the fire, and sometimes the chaos—but always the kind that gets stuff done. She’s the brain behind the scenes and the reason half of us survive the day. She doesn’t just handle wild situations—she owns them, with sharp instincts, quick wit, and a to-do list that fears her. She’s not just the better half—she’s the one making sure the rest of us don’t crash and burn. 💉💖🔥

👑 Crystal – Crystal stepped in like she’d always been here—fearless, focused, and unshakably kind. She blends leadership with laughter and leads with grace, not ego. She’s the kind of nurse who makes people feel safe and seen, while keeping everything moving forward like a boss. 👏🩺✨

💚 Audrey – Audrey is the steady heartbeat of Harrisonville—dependable, dedicated, and deeply respected. She doesn’t seek the spotlight, but her work speaks volumes. She brings order to chaos and quiet strength to stressful days. Audrey shows up, shows out, and holds it all down with quiet excellence. 🌾📋💪

🩵 “The Ones Who Stay” – A Tribute to Our Nurses 🩵
They are the ones who answer when no one else will,
When the pain isn't broken bones but broken will.
When the wounds are invisible, stitched with shame,
And the chart says "noncompliant" but never knows their name.

They hold the line in quiet rooms,
Where the air is thick with unspoken doom.
They know that "I'm fine" often means "I'm not,"
And that healing sometimes means just showing up... a lot.

They’ve sat with addicts through trembling nights,
Watched families fracture, held hands through fights.
They've smiled through sorrow, been cussed out and blamed,
Then came back tomorrow, unshaken, unnamed.

In psych, they dodge chairs and stigma both,
Document pain while giving hope.
In substance use, they walk the line—
Between relapse and recovery, time after time.

In primary care, they juggle it all:
Vitals, vaccines, a missed phone call.
They manage meds, and manage fear—
"Will this kill me?" "Why am I here?"

They are translators of trauma, whisperers of truth,
Nurturers of bodies, protectors of youth.
They fight burnout like a second job,
Still offering kindness when the world has been robbed.

They don't ask for much—just to be seen,
For what they are: the in-between.
Between illness and wellness, despair and repair,
They are the reason that care feels like care.

So this week, we honor the fight in their soul,
The laughter they carry, the hearts they console.
To our nurses: You are warriors cloaked in grace—
Not just saving lives...
but holding the space.

We’re proud to support our local heroes.

A huge thank you to our local Police Department for the vital work they do every day. We're honored to equip their patrol division with updated Narcan and CPR masks — tools that can mean the difference between life and death.

At Fast Comprehensive Care, we believe in partnerships that save lives. We look forward to continued collaboration in keeping our community safe, healthy, and supported. 💙

We want to give a shout-out to Fast Comprehensive Care for outfitting our patrol division with updated Narcan and first aid CPR masks!

These life-saving items are essential for our officers to carry with them while on patrol.

If chaos had a kryptonite, its name would be Kate Hogsett.

Clinical Director at Fast Comprehensive Care, Kate is the calm in our storm, the anchor in our whirlwind, and the exact person you want in your corner when the pressure's on. She’s steady, sharp, and has a way with words that could soothe a tornado. 💬💪

Need clarity? Ask Kate.
Need calm? Find Kate.
Need a sentence rewritten with surgical precision? Definitely Kate.

We’re beyond lucky to have a leader who’s solid, smart, and simply unshakable. 🙌

Yesterday we said farewell (for now!) to our PMHNP student Victor on his last day with us. At first glance, he might look like he moonlights as a Marvel superhero, but don’t let the intimidating exterior fool you—Victor is a gentle giant through and through.

Soft spoken, quick-witted, and armed with a subtly ornery sense of humor that sneaks up on you just when you least expect it, Victor has left a lasting impression on our team and patients alike. His compassion is genuine, his curiosity is endless, and his potential? Off the charts.

We know he’s heading out to do BIG things in the world of psychiatry, and we can’t wait to see his impact unfold. Thank you, Victor—you’ve left some big shoes to fill (literally and figuratively). 💙 We’re proud to have been part of your journey, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. Don’t be a stranger!

🌟 Shoutout to Our Incredible LPN, Audrey! 🌟

Today was one of those days at Fast Comprehensive Care—high primary care acuity, Spravato treatments, multiple labs, and diagnostic imaging all happening at once. Amid the chaos, Audrey stepped up in a big way! 💪

Not only did she help keep everything running smoothly, but she also went above and beyond to assist a patient struggling with substance use disorder (SUD) in getting into acute treatment—a crucial step toward recovery. Through it all, she kept a positive attitude and showed the dedication and compassion that make her such a valued part of our team.

👏 Thank you, Audrey, for your hard work, heart, and commitment to patient care! You truly make a difference. 💙
