Keeping Cool and Hydrated

Staying hydrated is crucial for seniors because older adults can have a tougher time dealing with heat and humidity. Dehydration can lead to serious health issues such as heat syncope (sudden dizziness), heat cramps (painful muscle tightening), heat edema (swelling in ankles and feet), heat rash, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke.
