Due to our upcoming 2 week vacation, we only have a very few select in-office appointments left, until after we return on Monday, July 7, 2025. Currently, we are completely booked for virtual appointments unless someone would cancel. Please read the below information on where Dr. Fisher prefers patients to go if you cannot get in to see her, and while we are closed for vacation.
*** 2 WEEK VACATION NOTICE ***
(Thursday, June 19, 2025 thru Friday, July 4, 2025)
The office will be closed for vacation, Thursday, June 19, 2025 through Friday, July 4, 2025. We will re-open on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 8:00 AM.
If any prescriptions are sent to our office via the fax machine during our vacation closure, they will not be seen until we return to the office on Monday, July 7, 2025. To avoid this from happening, please speak with an actual pharmacist to request that the prescription be sent electronically to Dr. Fisher. If you get your prescription(s) by MAIL ORDER and you anticipate you will be out during this time, please go ahead and request the refill earlier. However, if you run out completely, she may have to send it to a local pharmacy this one time. If so, when you call our answering service, please give them the name and address of the where you want the prescription sent. Our answering service # 812-948-5656.
While on vacation, Dr. Fisher will be checking her computer once a day, so any electronic prescription request will be sent once a day. Please do not wait until you are completely out of a medication before requesting a refill. Since nowadays it is so hard to reach a live person at most pharmacies, you may want to choose the automated service to request a prescription refill. When the recording asks for the prescription number, please enter it from your most recent bottle. If there are no refills, it will ask if you want them to contact your doctor, you will answer yes. This will trigger the request to come to Dr. Fisher electronically.
If you are needing a controlled prescription refilled, and you will be out during our vacation, please call our office so that Dr. Fisher can go ahead and request the refill. You will not be able to pick it up early, but the prescription will be there for you. However, if you run out while we are closed, please call our answering service at 812-948-5656 to ask that Dr. Fisher be called. They will need to know the prescription name, how many you have left, and what pharmacy & location to send it to. Again, Dr. Fisher will only be sending out prescriptions once a day so once you have contacted the answering service, please check with your pharmacy THE NEXT DAY. We ask that you speak with a pharmacist, not a technician, when inquiring about your medication.
We ask that you call ahead to any facility you are going to for testing, to make sure they have a current order before automatically going. In some cases, faxes fail, Dr. Fisher/staff may forget to send the order, the facility may only keep the orders for a short period of time, or in some cases they are just overlooked. By doing this, it will save you time and possibly a wasted trip. Some of the facilities we send orders to are listed below, and we have included their phone number for your convenience.
