Congratulations to Milga Sanchez and Ezequiel Zepahua, proud parents of son Ezequiel Alexander Zepahua who was born at 8:37am on January 1st and the first baby of 2026 at Baptist Union County!
Ezequiel weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was delivered by Dr. Greg Mitchell. In keeping with New Year tradition, the family received gift bags containing baby essentials, safety items, and a car seat presented by Karlee Harlow, RN, and Halle Jones, RN.

Congratulations to Beth Latch on her retirement with 19 years of service at Baptist Union County! As the nursing administrative secretary, Beth has been an important part of the nursing departments, administration, and Service First Council. Regardless of the event or project, Beth was always one of the first to volunteer her time to help. A reception with friends, family, and colleagues was held in her honor. We will miss Beth and wish her all the happiness that comes with retirement!

This program is one of many that demonstrates the commitment and compassion that the New Albany school administration and faculty have for their students. The hospital’s annual food drive for the Good Samaritan Center resulted in over 2,000 food items and $400 cash donated to the center.
