Congratulations to Gerald Nolley, Security, for receiving the Spotlight Award! Gerald was nominated by a supervisor for helping with the transport of a critical patient. From securing the helipad to escorting the medical team and equipment to the emergency department, Gerald’s primary focus was getting the patient to the care that was needed as quickly as possible. The supervisor stated, “Mr. Gerald has always been so kind and respectful to all of us, always letting us know that he appreciates what we do. We couldn’t do it without him and the rest of the security team.” We appreciate Gerald and our entire security team!

Congratulations to Rachel Hayes and Emily Hutchins for being named Service First Champions for the quarter! Both champions are an important part of the Environmental Services department and were nominated for going above and beyond to assist during a busy workload. Rachel’s nominator shared how she had checked on patients and visitors in the waiting room during a busy night in the emergency department and stated, “Rachel consistently displays a positive, endearing attitude, and is beyond helpful in critical times.” Emily, who often takes on extra shifts to meet the needs of patients, was nominated for her willingness to deep clean an area that had been under construction, and her nominator stated, “Emily’s attitude and professionalism ranks at the top.” We are so blessed to have these two amazing champions on the Baptist team!
