We are proud to announce the groundbreaking of our new Hosparus Health Inpatient Hospice Care Center, the region’s first and only standalone inpatient hospice facility, following the successful achievement of raising nearly $9.6 million, surpassing our $9.2 million groundbreaking goal.

Construction is expected to begin this fall, led by Koetter Construction. We will continue fundraising efforts toward the project’s total $20 million goal to ensure the Hospice Care Center is fully equipped with the resources needed to serve patients and families for generations to come.

“My why is my family values. I grew up in a family that gives to missions close to our hearts. We believe in quality of life and quality of death. The new Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center is being built with patients and families in mind—where there can be quiet walks in the garden, sitting with a loved one, or moments simply finding peace in nature. 🌿

Set to break ground in September 2025, this will be our region’s first standalone inpatient hospice facility. Our healing gardens and outdoor greenspace will offer a calming place for families to reflect, connect, and feel supported during life’s most tender moments.

We’re getting close to reaching our $9 million fundraising goal, and every gift brings us one step closer.

📊 Our 2024 Impact Report is now available.
In the last year, we:

💛 Opened the William B. and Janet B. Schmidt PACE Center in Elizabethtown.
💛 Launched the Harshaw Family Grief Counseling Center, hosting more than 260 grief support groups.
💛 Provided care to over 14,000 patients and families, earning a top-five national ranking for overall quality.

Looking ahead, we’re preparing to break ground this September on our region’s first standalone inpatient hospice care center in Louisville. This new space will help even more families receive the compassionate care they deserve.
