Meet Dr. Hartman! 👋
Dr. Katherine Hartman shares why she became a doctor:
There is no single event that led me to seek out a career in medicine, but rather a culmination of smaller experiences. I spent many hours within the walls of a doctors office and operating room when I was a child for various reasons, and I believe this is where the interest began. Within my childhood home, you will still find photos of me in my toddler years dressed up with a mask, gloves, and toy stethoscope caring for my stuffed animals. This interest became more concrete during the high school years, and I spent time volunteering in the hospital, shadowing with various doctors, and spending my free time researching conditions I learned about. Throughout college, I volunteered with Hospice and worked as a nursing assistant in a long term care facility- this is where I became passionate for humanism in medicine. When I try to think back on what made me "decide to be a doctor", I don't believe there was any decision, but rather this is what I have been called to do.

Meet Nicole LeTarte! I grew up in Clinton Township, Michigan with my parents, Mark and Cindy and my brother, Mark. I attended a small Christian School for high school and in 2011, I attended University of Detroit Mercy and graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I started my nursing career as a Staff Nurse at Sinai Grace Hospital in the Emergency Department. During my career as a staff nurse, I became certified in trauma, pediatrics, triage, and advanced cardiac resuscitation. I was a clinical preceptor for the new staff nurses, became a charge nurse, and was on employee engagement committees. I got married during my graduate studies to my wonderful husband, Chris and I graduated in 2016. A few short weeks later I started my career as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Bay Area Family Physicians.
