Cardiology and Primary Care practice looking for a Certified Medical Assistant 40 hrs per week (full-time)

Job Description:
-Perform patient intakes by obtaining histories and vital signs, medication lists, etc
-Perform EKG's
-Set up holter monitors and stress tests
-Perform point of care testing
-Contact patients as directed by provider to review labs, imaging or other studies
-Schedule appointments
-Administer injections including vaccines and medications
-Maintains stock levels for medicines and medical supplies as needed
-Answer phones when needed

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Must have at least one year of MA experience
- Experience with EMR systems (AthenaHealth is a plus)

Benefits:

Education:
-High school or equivalent

License/Certification:
-Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
-BLS Certification (Preferred)

Our office has been authorized and approved by the state of MA to administer the COVID-19 vaccine for our patients in our office. We have not yet received any doses of the vaccine. We will notify you when it becomes available. If you are able to get the vaccine at another site, please do so and let our office know.

As the rollout of the vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 begin, I know we are all hopeful for a brighter new year ahead of us. We are incredibly thankful to the scientists and researchers behind the COVID-19 vaccines, but also to all the frontline workers and essential staff throughout this pandemic. Some ways to keep your heart safe this fall. COVID-19 and the flu season are a double threat to everyone - but especially if you have a heart condition.

Dr. Alan Weinshel and staff would like you to know that we are here and available to assist you during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our staff is in the office available during our regular business hours to answer your calls.

Currently, we are encouraging telehealth visits by phone and/or video to adhere with social distancing practices. Our lab will continue to be open as scheduled and we will have limited cardiac testing performed in our office.
