Giving Tuesday
From Vee:
My involvement with Good Yoga Co. began when I was around 15 or 16 years old, and looking back, it’s clear how deeply it shaped who I am today. Yoga, especially practicing and working closely with Juliet—opened my eyes to a side of New Bedford I never knew existed. Before Good Yoga Co., I didn’t realize there were spaces built on positivity, healing, and growth right in my own community. The studio quickly became an escape for me, a place where I could breathe, learn, and be surrounded by good energy. It showed me that New Bedford isn’t just the difficult parts I grew up seeing; there are corners filled with love, learning, and genuine connection.
Being part of Good Yoga Co. taught me responsibility and what it means to show up—not just for others, but for myself. I learned what community truly looks like and built a level of compassion that has carried into every part of my life. Juliet played a huge role in that. She guided me through some of the most important years of my adolescence and into early adulthood with patience, kindness, and trust. She offered me opportunities to expand my knowledge, take courses, and grow as both a student and teacher of yoga. More importantly, she gave me a space that felt safe, supportive, and affirming.
Good Yoga Co. has been more than just a job or a place to practice—it has been a foundation in my journey. It helped shape my confidence, my mindset, and the way I see my community and myself. The impact Juliet and the whole company have had on me will always stay with me, guiding me as I continue to grow.
From Juliet:
One of the youth, well, she’s not a youth anymore, that has been with good company before it was even good company is Nevaeh Greene. She’s a lot of what I think. New Bedford really is, tough but open, rich with past, and nimble with what’s to come. Personally, I’ve watched Vee fight many of hardship, create many avenues for herself to be seen, heard, and respected.
she most recently completed a prenatal yoga training and is developing programs like this for good company. I’m very proud of her.
