Today is Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Awareness Day 💜

Today, we recognize CJD Awareness Day. CJD is a rare, rapidly progressive brain disorder that affects memory and movement, with a significant impact on patients and families. Our Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh team proudly wore purple to raise awareness and show support for those affected.

By increasing awareness, we hope to drive research, understanding, and resources for the CJD community.

CareOne proudly sponsored last week’s Parkinson’s Symposium at STJ Wayne Hospital, an impactful gathering to enhance awareness and support for Parkinson's care. The event featured an inspiring lineup of speakers and attendees, including Dr. Roger P. Rossi, Medical Director of the Acute Rehab Unit at Hackensack Meridian Health/St. Joseph’s Health, and Director of the Outpatient Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Program, and Dr. Veronica Chehata, MD, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Showing support for the event was Dustin Riccio, MD, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health.
