Merry Christmas! We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a hugh thank you to our entire staff that came together and made Christmas such a memorable one. You all made our residents feel special and loved this year. Thank you for your spirit and generosity. Santa and his Elves even showed up on Christmas eve and passed out gifts to the residents and seeing their eyes light up and the smiles brought tears to our eyes. We want to thank our families for all the support you give to your loved ones and the support you give to the staff as well. We also would like to send a big Thank You to our staff. You come in and care for everyone everyday leaving a bit of your heart with each person you come in contact with. We can't do what we do with out you. The team we have within our walls are wonderful, hard working and so fun to work with. Merry Christmas and we look forward to ringing in the New Year with you all.

Tonight we had a few special guests. The Dias family came in to sing Christmas carols for our residents. They brought laughter and enjoyment to our residents. What a great way to start the holiday season. Thank you Dias Family!

Today we here at BWNB along with Compassionate Care Hospice honored our Residents that served in our Military. 10 from our US Military and 3 from the Portugal Army. Thank you gentleman for your service and for all you had sacrificed. Also a big Thank You to all that have served and those who are still serving in our military. Happy Veterans day!

It has been a whirlwind of a week so far here at BWNB. This week is Cruise Week. So far this week we have "Sailed" out of the port of New Bedford and our first stop was Aurba, where we play "$$High Stakes Bingo" and won some fun prizes, everyone took a spin on the slot machine and wound down the day with a little arm chair travel through the beautiful island. Day 2 we found ourselves pulling into port in Jamaica. We did a morning tour of Jamaica while sipping our coffees. The afternoon we went crusin with the sounds of Mike Courcy and celebrated our August birthdays with a delicious cake. Day 3 we pulled into Bermuda and our Chefs Buffet, where Chef Paul and his awesome crew fed us a delicious spread of BBQ chicken, pulled pork and many side dishes to go along with it. We then played a few poolside games to end our day. Today on Day 4 we float into the Bahamas so stay tuned to see what we get ourselves into.

Today our residents went out to spread a little kindness and appreciation to our first responders. Thank you to our New Bedford Fire Department (Fire Station #2), City of New Bedford Police Department (Official) (Headquarters)& Stat Chair Car Service for all that you do for us.

I would like to give my heartfelt thanks, especially to the CNAs that took care of my mama, Kathleen Morrisey. She passed away peacefully at St. Lukes last night a little after 8pm. She worked for Brandon woods and it's other homes for many years and I am so glad we chose Brandon woods to be the place to care for her when we needed it. Arthur, Annie, Gail, Michelle and everyone else she worked with as well as all nurses and Dr's also and rest of staff, thank you for giving my mother the dignity she deserved and loving her like she was your own family member.

This week we celebrate our wonderful CNA's. They are heart of the building. They work very hard in all aspects of what they do. This week we have planned lots of little surprises for them. Thank you ladies and gentlemen for all of your hardwork and dedication. ❤️❤️
