🌟 Success Story Spotlight: Rachelle’s Journey 🌟

My name is Rachelle. I’m 42 and for over a decade, I struggled with addiction. I lost everything—my job, my home, my children, and the trust of my loved ones. Guilt, shame, and pain defined my world.

In February 2023, I entered the Steppingstone Women’s Program in New Bedford and was referred to Peer 2 Peer, where I met my recovery coach, Jeremy Camara. He’s been a constant source of support from day one—even through relapse, poor choices, and emotional setbacks.

Jeremy stuck with me when I left treatment too soon, when I relapsed in Boston, and when I was at my lowest. With his help—and the support of the staff at NBWP and Peer 2 Peer—I returned to treatment with a new mindset.

I got involved in NA and my church, was baptized, started driving peers to meetings, and was voted President of Cabinet. These were huge wins. Then, a false-positive screen set me back. I ran again—but Jeremy never gave up.

On Dec. 13, 2024, I committed to treatment one more time. I entered WATC with Jeremy by my side. That pain—raw and overwhelming—became my turning point.

💪 I’m now 6 months and 19 days sober, the longest I’ve ever been clean.
💪 I have a full-time job helping others.
💪 I’m four weeks from moving into the Graduate House.
💪 I’m on the path to being reunited with my sons.
💪 I journal, pray, attend church, and meet weekly with Jeremy, including his Peaceful Pause group every Friday at 1PM at Peer 2 Peer.

Recovery is hard, but it’s possible. I’m living proof that with the right support, we can rise.
