This week felt BIG ❤️

Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics officially stepped into baseball season 🧡⚾️
Proudly sponsored by Southcoast Business Alliance, and we are so incredibly thankful for their support in helping make this opportunity possible for our athletes. We kicked it all off with our very first practice, and there’s just something special about those first moments on the field — new beginnings, new skills, and athletes trying something brand new together.

Saturdays are for Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance 💜💃🕺
Week 3 of dance is in the books, and our dancers continue working hard on their routines as we build toward our June showcase. The confidence, the growth, and the joy in that studio each week is something you can truly feel.

Behind the scenes, we also had the opportunity to attend a One SouthCoast Chamber meeting — making connections, sharing our mission, and continuing to build relationships with people who believe in what we’re creating.

We also had the opportunity to hop on a Zoom call with Mary Beth, CEO of Special Olympics Massachusetts, along with our Community Engagement Manager Becca, to talk about the incredible things happening within Flurries and Flutter. Being able to share the growth of our programs and the impact we’re seeing in our community was something really special! 🫶🏻

We spent time at the Top Tier Inclusion Foundation’s 4th Annual Family Fun Day, surrounded by organizations and families who share the same heart for inclusion and support. These moments matter — being present, connecting, and continuing to show what inclusive spaces can look like ❤️

We wrapped up the week with our quarterly Board of Directors meeting — and taking the time to look back on everything we’ve accomplished over the last three months left our hearts so full. Sometimes you’re so busy building that you don’t stop to realize just how much has grown.

This week was full in all the best ways — on the field, in the studio, and throughout our community ❤️

It’s almost Saturday… and you’re going to want to watch what happens ⚾️

Because this weekend isn’t just about baseball starting —
it’s about what happens when our athletes try something new together 🧡

From the cheer mat to the soccer field, the basketball court to the dance floor — we’ve watched it happen again and again…
friendships forming in the middle of it all.

And now, we get to watch it happen on the baseball field.

New teammates becoming fast friends.
High fives after first tries.
Moments of “I’m not sure I can” turning into “look what I just did.”

Because the real magic isn’t just learning a new sport —
it’s growing together while doing it.

That’s what we’re most excited for this weekend.
Not just the first pitches… but the connections that will come with them.

So Saturday we dance… and Sunday we take the field ⚾️🧡

From the studio, to the classroom, to the field…
this is what a week at Flurries looks like ❤️

And if we’re being honest… this week felt a little like our “off-season” 🤪
Only one weekend activity in action — a chance to enjoy a little extra family time while we gear up… because we all know things are about to get busy again 😂

Over at Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance, the energy was incredible— a Saturday morning full of smiles, movement, and some seriously awesome dancing. Watching confidence grow week by week never gets old. 💜

Rie’s Readers made a visit to East Fairhaven Elementary School, where we spent time reading with Mrs. Lopes’ fourth grade class and visiting Mia’s fifth grade classroom. Sarah (aka Mrs. Lopes!) and Mia are both volunteers with our cheerleading program, which made these moments even more special.

We hope their classrooms enjoy our Pages of Possibilities book bundles for years to come 📚

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy prepping for Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics baseball, and we can’t wait to see our athletes stepping onto the field and trying something brand new. There’s just something special about watching a new sport come to life in our community 🧡

👀 And just wait until you see these uniforms… as baseball gets ready to join the mix, we’re heading into a season filled with even more opportunities, more connection, and so much to look forward to across all of our programs 🌸

One dad’s vision is about to change what inclusion looks like in our community ❤️✨

This weekend, we had the honor of being part of Mae's Playground Autism Awareness Fundraiser — a night centered around acceptance, inclusion, and FUN.

Mae’s Playground is something really special — all led by a dad who shares our mission of creating creative, inclusive spaces where every child belongs. You can feel the heart behind it in every detail.

We were so thrilled to be invited to be part of this event — to connect, to share our mission, and to be surrounded by a community that believes in the same “why” we do. We truly can’t wait to see the playground come to life, the joy it will bring, and the community it will continue to build ❤️🛝

And this is why we do what we do…

Because in the middle of all the smiles, laughter, and connection, we met a mom who shared something we hear far too often — that sports had never even been a consideration for her son.

And in that moment, everything we’ve built came down to one simple truth:
but now they are ❤️

That’s it. That’s the mission.

We are so grateful to partner with organizations like Mae’s Playground that share the same heart. Together, we’re not just creating programs — we’re growing a community where every child is seen, included, and given the chance to belong.

Still riding the high from the Flutter Cup last weekend… and we’re not coming down anytime soon ❤️

This week was all about building the momentum for another big weekend. Coach Kerrie spent time at the Westport baseball fields helping to clean up and confirm the last-minute details of our baseball schedule. We can’t believe Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics baseball starts in two weeks ⚾️

We excitedly welcomed four new volunteers and hosted our second volunteer orientation of the year. We’re incredibly proud to have our very own board member Victoria join us on the front lines of our dance program — we can’t wait to watch our volunteers flourish and are so thankful for their commitment to our community.

Saturday marked the start of our Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance Dance Era — gratefully hosted by Evolution Dance Company. We had 38 dancers sign up and welcomed both familiar faces and new ones. It’s always a joy to welcome new kids and young adults into our Flurries community! 💜

In addition to dancing, this weekend was filled with meaningful community events that remind us just how much this work matters. We were honored to be part of the Mae’s Playground Autism Awareness Fundraiser in Fall River — a night full of connection, purpose, and so many smiles — and proud to also join the DRSEPAC & Swansea PAC Family Resource Fair, where we had the opportunity to connect and do our favorite thing — share our mission. We love the opportunity to partner with organizations that share our heart and are truly thankful for it ❤️

We never take for granted these moments — the conversations, the connections, the chance to share what we do and why it matters so much.

Weeks like this remind us just how much it takes — and how many incredible people — to build something like this.

It’s about creating a community where opportunities exist for every athlete.
Where families feel supported.
Where inclusion isn’t just talked about — it’s lived.

And we’re so proud to be building this alongside all of you 🥹❄️🫶🏻

This week didn’t just come together…
it showed us exactly what we’re building ❤️

The big moments?
They were everything.

And they don’t just happen —
they’re built.

From finalizing our baseball and dance rosters…To meeting with Matt at K. Garcia Productions to bring our spring program designs to life…To officially updating our Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading name to include dance…

And in between all of that… the behind-the-scenes prep for our big day.

Because when Kerrie, Hannah, and James are all in the same place, working through the details — we know something big is coming.

And then… it was time.

✨ The Flutter Cup. ✨

And wow — what a day it was.

Watching our Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics Flutter and Flutter Force Teams — out there shining, smiling, competing, supporting each other…

It’s everything we hope for.

The smiles, the confidence, the teamwork… this is exactly why we do what we do.

We are so incredibly thankful to the Westport Police Association for sponsoring this event — and for playing right alongside our athletes.

And it didn’t stop there…

The Westport Fire Department, Massachusetts State Police, and the Westport Middle School Unified Basketball Team all jumped in and played games with us too — creating moments our athletes won’t forget.

A huge shoutout to our Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance cheerleaders for bringing the energy, the spirit, and the pom poms 💜 and to our very own Elsie for beautifully singing the national anthem 🇺🇸

To our volunteers — the ones behind the scenes, on the court, setting up, cheering, guiding… none of this happens without you.

This is what community looks like.

And today, on Easter…
it feels like the perfect time to pause and reflect on moments like yesterday.

We feel grateful every single week…
but days like this remind us —

We are incredibly grateful to Walmart Swansea for awarding Flurries Unified All Stars a Spark Good Grant to help us purchase adaptive sports equipment for our growing programs.

This funding directly impacts our athletes—creating more opportunities, removing barriers, and ensuring that every child, of every ability, has a place to belong, play, and thrive.

Inclusive programs like ours don’t happen by chance… they happen because of community partners like Walmart who choose to invest in what truly matters.
