Don’t Let Your Benefits Expire!

The end of the year is approaching—and so are a few important deadlines!
✅ Orthotics orders must be placed by December 1st to ensure processing for 2025.
💳 Use your HSA/FSA dollars before they expire!
🔁 Insurance plans reset in January—now is the time to finish up treatments or schedule appointments if you’ve already met your deductible, call in advance as appointments may book up!

Happy National Take a Hike Day! 🌲🥾

Whether you're hiking a trail or going for a stroll in your neighborhood, here are some foot-friendly hiking tips to keep your adventures injury-free. 

✅ Stretch before and after long walks and hikes. 
💧 Hydrate! Even in colder weather, your muscles need water. 
🥜 Pack smart snacks. Dr. Meier likes to carry dried fruit and nuts for an energy boost. 
👟 Wear appropriate footwear with ankle support if hiking uneven terrain. 💙 Bonus points for wearing custom orthotics inside of your tennis shoes and hiking boots!
🧦 Use sweat-wicking socks to prevent blisters. 
👣 Check your feet afterward - look for blisters, red spots, or irritation to catch injuries early. 

Wherever your hike or walk takes you today, let it be a breath of fresh air and a step toward better foot health!

About Us

Dr. Lucy Meier is a board-certified podiatrist who serves patients with great enthusiasm from our offices in Oak Creek and New Berlin. She enjoys treating patients of all ages using both conservative and surgical techniques.

A Wisconsin native, Dr. Meier grew up in Sturgeon Bay and beautiful Door County. She completed her bachelor’s degree at UW-La Crosse and earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago.

After returning to Wisconsin, Dr. Meier completed her surgical training and residency at Wheaton Franciscan in Milwaukee.

Dr. Meier specializes in treating heel pain, ingrown toenails, and other skin and nail conditions. She also enjoys teaching young physicians-in-training and students from local colleges, and serves as the assistant director of the Ascension Hospital Foot and Ankle Surgery program. It is not uncommon that she has a student shadowing her at the practice.
