Every year, we as a team look forward to Halloween. 👻💀🎃 We love these opportunities to have a little extra fun and make our patients smile at our costume attempts. As soon as the leaves start turning, the chatter begins. 😁 Patients will intentionally schedule on Halloween. We're lucky to be led by doctors that not only allow, but join in every step of the way. Happy Halloweeeeen, all!

What to say about this one... Leisa Barnes has been with PHM for 23 years and is the cream of the crop of Treatment Coordinators. She has been instrumental in leading the team, implementing and training, and delivering thousands of consultations to families over the years. It seems crazy to think that yesterday was her last day in that seat as she took the leap into retirement.
Aside from being an amazing colleague, Leisa is a great friend to many at PHM. She never says 'no' to an outing, "safety meeting, or one of our crazy office theme days. She was always a fierce competitor in our Halloween pumpkin decorating and costume contests. Her homemade kombucha and always perfectly executed recipes (of all varieties) have been enjoyed by the office for so many years.
Last night we were fortunate to be able to spend the evening at Za in Elm Grove celebrating her and wishing her the best retirement a gal of her calibre should get. We know that we'll see her often, just maybe not in scrubs (or in scrubs, we won't judge 😆). We love you, Leisa - thank you for everything! See you sooooon. 😘

It's that time of year that our friend, Mary Walker, works endlessly to coordinate the collection and worldwide distribution of 800+ shoebox gifts, to join many thousands more, for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse! We've been so fortunate to be included in this goodwill with toothbrushes and toothpaste making this special journey!

These shoeboxes contain age specific toys, games, and school supplies, as well as practical hygiene items to which children might not otherwise have access. Since 1993, 232 million shoeboxes have been sent to more than 170 countries and territories and show a tangible expression of God's love for children in desperate need. These boxes are transported by planes, trains, boats, and tractors if need be! You'd be amazed at how much you can fit into these shoeboxes, and how much the children look forward to receiving them! In the words of Franklin Graham who started the shoeboxes, "Every shoebox is an opportunity to reach a child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Mary, with the help of her dear husband, collects and packs hundreds of shoeboxes in their home garage. What a blessing you are to so many, Mary! PHM Orthodontists is proud of the work you do to help children around the world!

Holy moly, have you ever seen such a beauty?! Some of you have had the pleasure in meeting this classy firecracker, Alice Rossman, Dr. Hanson's mother. She turns 98 years old today - now you know where Dr. Hanson gets her endless energy.

"Take me out to the ballllgame...Take me out to the crowd.." ⚾️⚾️⚾️ What a beautiful day for a baseball game! The doctors took the PHM ChewCrew to cheer on the MKE BrewCrew and what a game it was! Days like these can't be beat - thanks, Doctors, for another fun team outing!

We're so excited for Leighton "Lu" Werner as she competes in the 2025 World Championship Horse Show in Louisville, KY this month! Lu will be competing in the 13 & under, and 11-13yr old age group at the National level for the second time. Last National Championship she became the Reserve Champion, meaning the 2nd best in the world!
Leighton is a survivor of Shone syndrome, a rare congenital heart defect, and had open heart surgery as a baby. Fast forward to now, healthy and driven, she'll be back in the Saddle Seat equitation competition showcasing her talents on August 22nd. The team at PHM will be rooting for you, Lu!

Congrats to our wonderful Treatment Coordinator, Michaela, and her husband, Cody, on welcoming to this world their baby boy, Cooper Xavier Clapper. Now for the stats: 7lbs 2oz. 20" long, and 100% adorable!

It may seem early, but some children can benefit greatly from options available at a younger age that can create the ideal space for adult teeth to erupt in a good position on their own, leading to a better long-term result. Schedule a visit with one of our fabulous doctors, complete with a thorough exam and diagnostic records.
