We have two wonderful events to celebrate today! First, today is the grand opening for on non profit, Trauma Wellness Center! This program works to license foster parents and support them with training, supplies and education, while also working hard to reunite foster children and their families. Today is also the 6th anniversary of Great Place to Start Behavioral Health Services! We are so blessed to continue to serve our community with mental health services and outreach. Thank you all for being part of journey.

Come see us today for goodies, a slice of cake, a tour, and some free foster parent supplies! We will have a ribbon cutting around 12 and will keep the celebration going until 2!

We were so blessed to be a part of last week's Career and Resource fair downtown on the Riverfront! Nothing brings us joy like being able to connect with our community and provide resources that support everyone and enhance the lives of the people we serve.

Join us this Saturday, March 15, at 12 pm for our Aspire group! Our clinicians and our special teen volunteer will be here to talk about the process of applying for colleges, choosing majors, and pathways to trade training, as well as answer any questions you have about future planning. Whether you're interested in enlisting in the military, attending community colleges and trade schools, or even being a social worker like most of our staff, we will be here to help guide you in the right direction. This event is open to the community and we will have refreshments. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Are you wanting to start therapy, but unsure of how to fit it into your busy schedule? Why not try telehealth? We have several amazing clinicians currently accepting virtual clients. Whether your best hour for therapy is on your lunch break, in the afternoon, or even on a Saturday, we may have something that will fit you-after all, working with the individual needs of our clients is what we do best. Give us a call Monday through Friday between 9 and 3 to have your questions answered and schedule your admin intake!

Are you a young adult age 15-22 beginning to plan your future? Come join us on March 15 for ASPIRE, presented by Great Place to Start Behavioral Health Services! Our clinicians Nicole and Stephonie will be answering questions about transitioning from school to college or the work force, complete with resources and guidance. Whether you are interested in becoming a clinical social worker, mental health counselor, or are just looking for guidance on where to start when applying for college, jobs, or the military, we are here to help you. Lunch will also be served!
