Happy Chinese New Year from WOMBS!
We have some BIG news to share with you about our exciting new direction🤍🦉
Coming this summer, our CNM will be embarking upon a deeply meaningful and powerful journey in her midwifery career. She will be pursuing her long held dream and desire to travel internationally and expand her wisdom, knowledge and expertise in birthing practices and traditions, both globally and cross-culturally!🌎
To accommodate this bold move, our brick-and-mortar offices will be closing permanently. Our New Bern office will close its doors at the end of this month, and the Elizabeth City office will be closed by the end of February – but don’t worry, we will be serving our established maternity clients through the end of April and are happy to refer any of our new client inquiries to local CNMs currently practicing near you.
Our primary care side of the practice, Cost Plus Health, will continue without interruption via Telehealth and through concierge mobile visits🩺📞 Our Family Nurse Practitioner, Ellen Allen, will continue to be available to serve the needs of any and all of our C+H patients when our midwife is on assignment in remote locations. Lastly, we are so honored to have been a part of so many beautiful birth stories over the past two and a half years! 🤰🏻👶🏻 We are humbled and grateful to have been warmly welcomed by so many communities and families. We have cherished all of our time within our communities and are so proud of the hard work WOMBS has done and everything it has accomplished in a short amount of time❤️
As we move forward with these brave next steps, we would also like to take a brief look back at all of the wonderful adventures we have shared with our families, friends and WOMBS staff.
