However, I'm very proud that my own National Association of Social Workers - North Carolina Chapter continues to work to get legislation passed here in North Carolina. It passed the Senate very recently and is now headed to the House!

North Dakota has become the 23 state the join the Social Work Licensure Compact!

FREE Narcan Training Event🚨

The Craven County Opioid Epidemic Response is proud to partner with the Craven County Health Department and Vanceboro Christian Help Center to host a free Narcan training session open to the public. Narcan, also known as naloxone, is a medication that can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose, and potentially save lives.

The purpose of Narcan training is to equip individuals with the knowledge to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose and the skills needed to administer this potentially life-saving medication. By learning how to properly respond to an opioid overdose, you can make a difference in the community.

Participants will receive a free two-dose Narcan Naloxone Nasal Spray 4 mg kit upon completion of the training. No registration is required!
