We recently had the pleasure of delivering delicious donuts from NC Donuts to our amazing local hospice agencies! It’s a small token of our gratitude for the incredible work they do in our community.

Their compassion and dedication make such a huge difference in the lives of families during difficult times. We are so grateful for their tireless efforts and the comfort they provide to those in need.

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone — 20 years with our amazing Office Manager, Lisa Whitford-Boyd!

Since joining us in 2005, Lisa has been the steady heartbeat of our funeral home. Her kindness, professionalism, and compassion have helped guide countless families with care and dignity. But those who work with her every day know there’s even more to appreciate.

Lisa keeps us all organized and on track and she does it all with her signature quick wit and sense of humor that brings smiles even on the toughest days.

We are so thankful for her two decades of service, leadership, and laughter. Please join us in congratulating Lisa on her 20-year anniversary — and in hoping she’ll stick around for at least 30 more!

On July 28, 2025, Christopher Lea Wear of New Bern, NC, passed away peacefully at age 80. Born in Pasadena, CA, and raised in NY, Chris served proudly in the U.S. Navy and later built a life in hospitality and sales. He married Colleen Hogan in 1975, and they raised their daughter Kiersten with love and laughter. A devoted sports fan, Chris never missed a chance to cheer on FSU, NASCAR, the Panthers, Hornets, and Dodgers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John loved his country and was very patriotic. You could see American Flags in his decor and clothing. He truly loved America. In addition to his love for America, John enjoyed fishing, baseball, and traveling all over the world. Whenever he would come back home, John would bring back gifts and stories to his family. They all enjoyed it.
