Ms. Mary absolutely loves figs! When they’re ripe, we always pick them fresh from the fig tree in our beautiful courtyard. Mary enjoys reminiscing about the fig trees she had growing up—how she and her parents would gather the fruit together and enjoy the sweet taste of summer. Those memories still bring a smile to her face.

We had an outstanding turn out for our Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon cutting ceremony last week! A huge thank you to New Berns Mayor and Chamber of Commerce for being a part of our big day. We are hearing this was one of their biggest Ribbon Cutting events they have had so far! We are extremely grateful for our referral partners and local companies that had a chance to attend. We look forward to enhancing and building long-lasting relationships in Craven County.

Lunch with a View!

Today’s picnic lunch was simply perfect — delicious food, great company, and a breathtaking view. We sat by the waterfront, enjoying the fresh breeze and soaking in the beautiful sight of the lighthouse in the distance. It doesn’t get any better than this! 😀

The first lighthouse authorized for construction in America was in Massachusetts in 1715. While we weren’t able to travel that far today, we enjoyed the next best thing with a trip to Cape Lookout National Seashore. It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, fun, and plenty of smiles as we admired the stunning lighthouse and the breathtaking natural surroundings. The water was crystal clear and a brilliant shade of blue. The ferry ride was a highlight—so much fun! Everyone had a wonderful time soaking in the beauty and history of the coast.

Christmas in July Celebration

We brought the holiday spirit to summer with a festive Christmas in July celebration! Residents enjoyed a cozy hot cocoa bar, delicious Christmas cookies, and lots of laughter playing the Right-Left gift exchange game. Unwrapping presents and sharing smiles made the day extra special. We all had a jolly good time spreading Christmas cheer—right in the middle of July! 🎄☀️🎁
