Melanoma is often called the “most serious skin cancer” because it can spread from the skin to other parts of the body. In 2024, it was estimated that more than 200,000 melanomas would be diagnosed and over 8,000 people would die of melanoma. Be sure to check your skin regularly for any spots on your skin that are changing, itching, growing, or bleeding.

An electronic item left behind by one of our patients has been in our “Lost and Found” at Dermatology Associates for some time. Please call 252-633-4461 and ask to speak with the HR department if you believe it may belong to you. A description will be required.
