We ask that our staff and families we serve take time to pray for the Merritt family.

Peggy Atkinson Merritt, 81, of Dover passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at ECU Health Inpatient Hospice. Peggy was deeply religious, faithful in her prayers and devotions. For 43 years she cared for her special needs son and volunteered at the Special Olympics. She retired after 20 years of service with the Jones County School System. Peggy always had a smile on her face and made sure she put her family first. She had a humble spirit and loving heart.

Happy Fathers Day to the Father of Pathways: Mr Jimmie Hill. Some facts about him is that he can build anything and has built many buildings in New Bern and surrounding areas when he worked in construction. Before that he grew up working on the farm. He has always been a hard working man. Most importantly he is also a God fearing man! Together with Gods guidance and his knack for “building things”, Pathways was built more than 25 years ago. We are thankful for all the dads today but we are especially thankful for the man who started it all. ❤️🙏
