UPDATE:
As of September 8th Chad and I completed the WHOLE30 challenge of no alcohol, dairy, legumes, grains, sugar or processed foods. It was a great success. I lost 11 pounds and Chad lost 7. But more than the weight loss, skin issues have cleared, energy levels have risen and all around we just feel great. We had a great time cooking together and experimenting with new recipes, foods and flavors. The clean up was no fun, but together we got it done. Now that the challenge is complete the next step is to add in some natural sweeteners like honey, some dairy (such as cheese) or some whole grains or legumes, to see how our body reacts to each food group during different weeks. We will lean toward a more Paleo food choice, sticking to what we learned in the WHOLE30. Below you'll find just a few of the links to things we liked, along with a list of some of the items that were weekly staples. Thanks to all of you who have asked, been interested in our journey or just made fun of us. :) You are all appreciated.
