After the tremendous loss and impact of the flooding from last weekend, we feel confident these items will help bring some comfort to those affected.

These items were brought to the Salvation Army and put on a truck for delivery today! 💜

🌟 Meet Veronica Conner, Patient Care Manager 🌟

Veronica has worked with Christus HomeCare since May 2022! She started as a field nurse and has recently transitioned into a unique, hybrid role. Veronica is one of our hybrid Patient Care Managers, which means she gets to coordinate patient care in the office and she also continues to be part of the fields staff by providing care to our patients in their home - Veronica does it all! 💜

She is a huge bookworm and could spend all her extra time ready anything she can get her hands on! Veronica is also a homebody and you can usually finds her in a pair of comfy sweats and oversized t-shirt! 📕🐛

Hobbies: Veronica loves to cook! It is one of her favorite things to do, she doesnt have a favorite dish, but loves to try new recipes she finds online! 🧑‍🍳

Fun fact: She almost went to culinary school, instead of nursing school! 🥘

Why: “Patients come to us in one of their lowest points in their life. As a nurse, I get to provide care and comfort to a patient in their most vulnerable time.”

🌟 Meet Laiken Guerrero, Intake Specialist 🌟

Laiken has worked with Christus HomeCare since May 2025. She works closely with our patients and is usually the first point of contact upon receiving a referral, ensuring that they know what to expect and answer any questions they may have. Laiken also works closely with doctors offices and hospitals to make sure we have everything we need to care for their patients!

She is an upcoming new mom to a baby boy! 💙 She is also ready to face the challenges that life throws her way with the support of God and her inner circle. She loves football and BBQ, the New Orleans Saints are her team!! ⚜️

Hobbies : Laiken enjoys walking, movie dates with her husband, and organizing!! 🎥

Fun fact: She LOVES cheese!!! Cheese on everything! 🧀

Why: “My why is to help patients get the care they need during challenging times! If I can make a difference in someone’s life somehow, I am satisfied”

🌟 Meet Norma Saldana, Office Assistant 🌟

Norma has been with Christus HomeCare for four years this August! She is a fun and friendly person, she loves being social and talking to people, you could call her our social butterfly 🦋 Norma has never met a person she couldn’t start a conversation with and thats why when you come by our office, her face is the first one to greet you!

Norma’s life revolves around her family, but her grandkids are her first loves! A close second is her love of football, she LOVES her Dallas Cowboys and looks forward to football season every year! GO COWBOYS 🏈 She also loves shopping, but who doesn’t!

Hobbies: Her hobbies include doing crafts and baking with her grandchildren ❤️

Fun Facts: Norma loves dancing, Tejano Music, and 70’s rock - listening to music comforts her soul 🎶
