Parents: Don’t forget to check in on your child’s mental health. Kids and teens may feel sad or anxious at times, but if these feelings last for more than two weeks, it could be a sign to seek professional advice.

Watch for signs like irritability, withdrawal, excessive worry, or sleep changes. Talk openly with your child and offer support. If you're concerned, consult your child’s doctor or a mental health provider.

It's natural for children to experience feelings of sadness, grief, anxiety and irritability at times. However, if these feelings are more intense than usual, it could be a sign of a mental health disorder.
