Happy 5th Birthday to our baby boy, Christian🤍
The baby of our family… and my very last baby.

I cried last night knowing that our last baby turned 5. I wish time would just slow down a little more. Watching him grow has been equal parts joy and heartache because with every new milestone, I’m reminded that he’s my last time experiencing all of these “firsts.”

Christian you bring so much light, laughter, and sweetness into our home. My heart didn’t know I needed a little boy like you. 💙

Happy birthday, my love. Thank you for choosing me to be your mom. 💙✨

Sports aren’t played in predictable lines and planes of movement. Hip internal rotation is a necessity for athletic performance.

Here’s why it matters in sports:
✅Force absorption: During landing, cutting, and sprinting, the hip must internally rotate to absorb ground reaction forces. Restricted IR shifts load to the knee and lumbar spine.
✅Deceleration & change of direction: Studies show athletes need hip IR to safely accelerate and decelerate. Limited IR increases valgus collapse and ACL strain risk.
✅Rotational power: Throwing, striking, and grappling depend on controlled hip IR to transfer force from the ground through the trunk.

📊 What the research shows:
Reduced hip IR has been linked to knee pain, ACL injury risk, labral pathology, and inefficient movement strategies in running and cutting sports.

Bottom line 👉 If your lacking hip IR mobility, train it and acquire it. If you’re presenting with hip mobility restrictions with little changes, don’t hesitate to send us a DM or schedule with the LINK IN OUR BIO. 📅

✨ NEW PATIENT TESTIMONIAL ALERT ✨

Check out this testimonial from our rock climber, BJJ student, and overall soon-to-be badass momma!

Brooke is so dedicated to her PT that she asked to move her PT appointment up so she can go to the hospital to be induced TODAY. 👶🎉

Apparently physical therapy works so well that you can finish rehab and go deliver a human right after!💪😂

We’re honored to be part of her journey!😄

After injury, muscles don’t just get weak. Many times, they become neurologically inhibited limiting activation and control. ⚡🧠

ARPwave uses high-frequency direct current electrical stimulation to improve brain-to-muscle communication, restore inhibited motor units, and enhance neuromuscular awareness.

🔬 Research shows electrical stimulation can overcome muscle inhibition and improve activation helping patients move better, load sooner, and recover faster. Not to mention, it can help with pain!

At The Movement Doc, we retrain the nervous system to help accelerate healing. To see if your appropriate for this intervention, DM or call/text at 210-446-7424.
