Is It “Behavior”… or a Sensory Need? 🤔
Sometimes what looks like defiance, hyperactivity, or meltdowns may actually be your child’s nervous system asking for help.
Common signs your child may have sensory needs:
✔️ Covers ears with everyday sounds
✔️ Avoids certain clothing textures
✔️ Constantly moving, crashing, jumping
✔️ Difficulty sitting still
✔️ Strong reactions to smells or food textures
✔️ Trouble transitioning between activities
When a child’s sensory system is overwhelmed (or under-responsive), their behavior is communication.
💡 The good news? Sensory strategies can make a big difference.
