Ever heard of a hearing aid you don’t have to take in and out every day?

This is the Lyric hearing aid. A device that is professionally fit deep in the ear canal and designed to be worn continuously.

At Hear In Texas, we are certified in Lyric fittings, meaning we’re trained to properly size, fit, and place the device for both comfort and performance.

For many patients, Lyric offers a more seamless hearing experience without the daily routine of traditional devices.

As always, the right solution depends on your hearing, your lifestyle, and your goals and that starts with a proper evaluation.

Our HEARt is expanding.

One of the things we love most about serving this community is the opportunity to share knowledge around hearing health. Helping people better understand hearing loss and what solutions are available for those who may be struggling.

Dr. Sally and Carlos recently attended a Doc Talk where conversations centered around education, connection, and supporting people in our community who deserve better hearing and better communication.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

The more we connect, the more we realize how many people need access to compassionate, education-first hearing care.

And because of that love for our community…

Hear In Texas is expanding to Dripping Springs.

We’re excited to bring the same level of care, education, and support to another incredible Texas community.

Our mission has always been simple:
Better hearing.
Stronger connections.
Healthier lives.

And we’re just getting started.

Tinnitus, that ringing, buzzing, or humming sound in your ears, is something many people experience.

But how do you know when it’s time to have it evaluated?

You should see an audiologist if you notice:

• A sudden onset of tinnitus
• Tinnitus in only one ear
• A change in the sound, such as becoming louder or changing pitch

Sometimes the cause can be something simple, like wax buildup that needs to be removed.

Other times, a deeper evaluation is needed to determine what’s causing the change and whether a referral to an ENT (ear, nose, and throat specialist) is the right next step.

The important thing to remember is that tinnitus changes shouldn’t be ignored.

A proper evaluation helps identify the cause and determine the best path forward.

Do you ever feel late to the party because you can’t quite hear… or understand?

Like everyone else caught the joke.
Like you’re nodding along, hoping you didn’t miss something important.
Like listening feels harder than it used to and you’re not sure why.

Today is World Hearing Day.

Hearing is about more than volume.
It’s about clarity.
Connection.
Confidence in conversations.

If background noise feels overwhelming…
If you’re saying “what?” more often…
If social settings feel exhausting…

You’re not alone. And you’re not imagining it.

In most cases, hearing challenges are connected to hearing loss and there are real solutions that make communication easier and life lighter.

You deserve to be fully part of the conversation.

On World Hearing Day, consider this your reminder to check in on your hearing health.

If you’ve been wondering… this is your sign.

Tinnitus is a sound in your ear that shouldn’t be there.

And it’s not always ringing.

It can sound like:
• Humming
• Buzzing
• Static
• Crickets
• Electrical noise

At Hear In Texas, we perform tinnitus evaluations and in about 90% of cases, tinnitus is related to hearing loss.

The remaining 10% may be caused by other medical factors.

That’s why we always begin with a full hearing test to understand what’s causing the noise and determine the best next step.

If you’re hearing something that isn’t there,
you’re not imagining it.
And there are ways to evaluate it properly.
