A BIG ā€˜thank youā€™ to our sweet friend Meghan for bringing Biscuit & Gravy, the adorable ferret, to spend some time with us! The playful energy & curious little personality brought so many smiles & laughs to both our residents & staff. It was truly a JOY to watch everyone light up during the visit!
Animal visits like this are more than just FUN; theyā€™re incredibly meaningful. Interacting with animals can help reduce stress/anxiety, spark conversation, encourage social interaction, & can even bring back cherished memories for our residents. These moments of connection can brighten moods, provide comfort, & remind us all of the simple JOYS in life.

For many individuals, holding a doll can awaken deep memories of caring for children or loved ones. A doll can provide comfort, purpose & a sense of connection. When someone gently holds, rocks, or talks to a doll, they may be expressing the nurturing instincts that have been part of them their entire life.

Dolls can also help reduce anxiety & restlessness. The simple act of holding something soft & familiar can bring a sense of calm & security. For some, it gives them ā€œsomeoneā€ to care for again, reminding them that they still have love & kindness to give.

Moments like these remind us that even when memory fades, the heart NEVER FORGETS how to love.šŸ’—
