97 trips around the sun for this young man. Hes been a patient of mine since I started practicing. Every time he’s in my office, patients who just met him in the waiting room always say how wonderful he is. Still self sufficient, sharp as a tack, and always a hilight of my day. I was honored this weekend to be distinguished with the second most prestigious award my state chiropractic association could bestow upon a chiropractor. I was given the TCA Young Chiropractor of the year award.

I was also sworn in to join the executive board of the association representing chiropractors in the great state of Texas.

I spend a tremendous amount of time away from the office. For that I apologize to you guys. But I do it to represent my profession and protecting patients (you guys!) access to our services.

🚧WURSTFEST TRAFFIC ALERT🚧 The westbound lane of Landa Street will be closed to vehicular traffic but open to pedestrian traffic during Wurstfest from Zink Street to Landa Park Drive due to TxDOT’s closure of the sidewalk. This will close one lane on Landa Street under the railroad overpass.

The sidewalk next to this lane has been closed by TxDOT because the retaining wall is leaning, and it is unsafe for pedestrians to walk near it. To accommodate pedestrian traffic to and from Wurstfest in a safe manner, the City will close the westbound lane to vehicular traffic so that it can be used for foot traffic. The schedule for closures is:

▪️Saturday, 11/4: 9 a.m. – 2 a.m.
▪️Sunday, 11/5: 9 a.m. – 12 a.m.
▪️Monday, 11/6: 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.
▪️Tuesday, 11/7: 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.
▪️Wednesday, 11/8: 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.

The Texas Chiropractic Association honored Korey Rose, DC, with the prestigious P.A. Willmon Award during the President’s Gala at Chiro Texpo ’23 held last weekend in Addison. 🎉 The P.A. Willmon is one of TCA’s oldest awards and recognizes a chiropractor for a rural area for his or her ongoing dedication to the TCA and its members and for promoting the growth of chiropractic in Texas. 👏

Dr. Rose, who practices in New Braunfels, has emerged as a leader in TCA, serving as the TCA Legislative Affairs Committee over the past year. 🤝 Dr. Rose played a direct role in the signing into law of three chiropractic bills during the 88th Texas Legislative Session and a highly successful TCA Legislative Day at the State Capitol in February. 📜💪 In addition, Dr. Rose is active locally as the TCA District 10 Vice Director. 🌟
