On Wednesday, we hosted our Willmar Ribbon Cutting to celebrate our clinic and the expansion of Substance Use treatment services in Kandiyohi County.

We were grateful to have many dignitaries in attendance, including MN State Representative Dave Baker, Mayor Doug Reese, Fire Chief Frank Hanson, and Willmar City Council members. We would also like to thank our community partners and those in attendance - we wouldn't be where we are today without your support!

By increasing provider capacity and expanding treatment options in the Willmar community, we work to bridge the gap in access to care and ensure more individuals receive the support they need.

Today, we celebrate and honor the rich heritage, traditions, and invaluable contributions of Indigenous communities across our region. We acknowledge the lands where we provide care as the ancestral and present-day homelands of many nations, including the Dakota (Lakota and Nakota) and Anishinaabe (Ojibwe and Chippewa) peoples in Minnesota; the Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Potawatomi, Oneida, and numerous Chippewa bands in Wisconsin; the Meskwaki Nation in Iowa; the Osage in Missouri; and the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara (Three Affiliated Tribes) in North Dakota and many others who have called these lands home for countless generations.

This day is an opportunity to recognize their enduring strength, wisdom, and resilience, while acknowledging the continued challenges Indigenous communities face. As a healthcare organization, we're committed to understanding and supporting the wellness traditions that have sustained these communities for thousands of years.
