🍀 What makes your child feel lucky?

This week in our Mindful Movement Kids programs, students created their own “Cereal-sly Lucky” bowls while reflecting on the things in life that make them feel grateful.

Kids shared things like:

❤️ family
🐶 pets
🌈 friends
🏡 having a safe home
😊 feeling healthy

Activities like this help children practice:

✨ gratitude
✨ emotional awareness
✨ mindfulness
✨ creativity

And the best part?
Kids LOVE it!

These kinds of activities are part of our Make & Take: Calming Creations classes, where students create calming tools and meaningful projects they can bring home.

📍 Classes are starting now in:

• Mounds View Schools
• White Bear Lake Schools
• Roseville Schools

If you’re looking for a positive after-school activity that helps kids build confidence, creativity, and calm, this is a great place to start!

💚✨🍀

Spots are still available in a few programs.

One of the kids’ favorite St. Patrick’s Day games in our classes is called Grab the Gold 🍀

It’s a playful movement game inspired by Red Light, Green Light where one student becomes the leprechaun and the rest of the class tries to sneak toward the gold coins.

The goal?

Grab a handful of gold and make it safely back to the starting line before the leprechaun tags you.

Games like this are fun, but they also help kids practice important skills like:

✨ listening and focus
✨ body control and coordination
✨ teamwork and social interaction
✨ confidence through movement

Seasonal games are one of my favorite ways to keep kids engaged while still building mindfulness and movement skills.

Teachers if you’d like the full St. Patrick’s Day kids yoga lesson plan bundle with games like this, comment GOLD and I’ll send you the link 🍀

Today in Make & Take: Calming Creations, students created their own worry stones! A simple mindfulness tool they can use when their bodies feel nervous, overwhelmed, or full of big feelings.

Before creating their stones, students first reflected on questions like:

• When do I feel worried?
• When do I feel calm?
• What helps my body slow down?

Then they sculpted their own worry stones using clay and added personal designs that felt meaningful to them.

Students also practiced a calming mantra they can use anytime:

“I rub my stone nice and slow,
I breathe and let my worries go.”

Tools like this help children learn how to pause, breathe, and reset when emotions feel big.

It’s amazing to watch how proud they are of the calming tools they create themselves 💚

Make & Take: Calming Creations classes are running this spring in:

📍 Mounds View Schools
📍 White Bear Lake Schools

Small groups. Creative activities. Big life skills!

If you haven’t signed your child up yet, this is your sign.
