This past Monday, our Klingberg Family Centers' Family Pantry participated in the First Annual Spanish Speaking Community Resource Fair in New Britain. The event brought together local organizations offering valuable information and support across a wide range of needs, including medical services, community programs, public safety, housing, employment, and more.

Thank you to Douglas Montalvo Mussenden, our Food Pantry Coordinator, for representing Klingberg, and to everyone who came out and connected with us!

April is and Klingberg Family Centers is feeling especially grateful as we look back on our recent Hop Along Hunt!

Because of our incredible volunteers, more than 5,000 eggs were filled in the weeks leading up to the big day. From face painting and temporary tattoos to handing out eggs and running the prize wheel tables, every smile was made possible by our volunteers. Even the Easter Bunny, Carlos Marrero of Marrero & Associates, hopped in to lend a hand.

We’re so thankful for our amazing community partners: Smith Brothers and Northwest Community Bank, as well as the Junior League of Hartford, CCSU student volunteers, and Klingberg staff family members. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Last month, Klingberg Family Centers recognized Women's History Month, and hosted a Lunch & Learn filled with fun, connection, and meaningful reflection. From a lively Kahoot quiz and exciting prizes to an engaging round of History Bingo, the energy in the room was amazing.

Most importantly, we took time to learn about the incredible contributions of women throughout history and those continuing to make an impact today. We are so grateful to be part of an organization that takes time to celebrate, learn, and honor the legacy of so many remarkable women.

A special shout-out to our Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) team for putting this together!

8:00 AM - Check-in opens, entertainment and family activities begin.
9:30 AM - Walk program begins with local media personalities, Renee DiNino and Scot Haney from WFSB/Channel 3.
10:00 AM - Walk steps off, the route is less than 1.5 miles, starting and ending at Dunkin' Park.

The free Kids Zone returns this year! There will be face painting, caricatures, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, and of course live goats!
