Klingberg Family Centers Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private nonprofit serving children and families throughout Connecticut.

Our mission is to help build healing relationships that empower children and families to reach their full potential. Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, severe family problems and mental health issues. Through an array of group care, special education, foster care and community programs, children and parents are given the encouragement and skills they need to function more effectively at home, in school and in their community. Our main campus is located in New Britain, Connecticut. We also offer a wide range of community services from our office in Hartford.

As we begin 2026, Klingberg Family Centers would like to thank everyone for their dedication and teamwork that brought us through the past year. We have a lot to look forward to, and we're excited about what we’ll accomplish together in the months ahead.

We are also happy to welcome our new employees, and interns, who are joining us. We’re thrilled to have you on board!

At Klingberg Family Centers our Outpatient Clinic services are designed to meet you where you are.

We offer flexible care in person at our Hartford or New Britain offices, or via telehealth.

Referrals are welcome from parents, guardians, and school social workers. Our services include individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychiatric care. We accept private insurance and HUSKY.

As we start the New Year, we want to recognize the many individuals and organizations who shared holiday joy with the children and families served by Klingberg Family Centers' programs and services! In addition to holiday gifts, many of these donors also supported other needs, including donating winter coats, hats and mittens; or by donating holiday meals. We are so grateful for your generosity and thankful to be able to share these incredible gifts with children and families in need in our community.
