Employee Spotlight: Muktar Aden ✨

At just 23 years old, Muktar Aden is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents every day. What began as a volunteer opportunity through the CLIMB program has grown into a part-time role as a Unit Attendant, where he now helps transport residents to therapy, meals, and activities throughout the community.

Muktar says the best part of his job is simple: spending time with the residents.
“They’re like grandparents to me,” he shares. “I like talking to them and hearing their stories.”

Residents enjoy his company just as much. Many ask when they’ll see him again or invite him to sit with them at lunch or play games together, small moments that make a big impact. Muktar says. “I just want to bring them joy and make them feel comfortable.”

Through his role, Muktar has learned the importance of patience, listening and being on time to help residents get where they need to go. He also works a second job with children in an after-school program, showing his passion for helping people of all ages.

Thank you, Muktar, for your kindness, dedication and the positive energy you bring to residents and colleagues every day. 💙
