A former NICU family returned to The Hospital of Central Connecticut with a heartfelt gift — beautifully handmade quilts for our tiniest patients.

Each quilt was lovingly stitched as a “thank you” to the caregivers who once cared for their baby, and they’ll now bring warmth and comfort to families currently in the NICU.

We are so grateful for this generous act of kindness — it truly means the world.

A generous round of applause for our Hospital of Central Connecticut Auxiliary at the New Britain General campus! ⛳️

Thanks to the success of their annual golf tournament, the Auxiliary donated $89,000 to support the purchase of four new Panda Warmers for the Family BirthPlace — helping us provide comfort and safety to our newest little patients.

We’re so grateful for this incredible community support and the impact it will have on families for years to come.

For the last several years, Tom Cornish and his wife have made the holidays brighter for families in our community — and this year was no different.

They donated boxes filled with goodies for 10 families at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, offering comfort and support during a busy and emotional time of year.

Three years of smiles — and counting!

For the third year in a row, the Mattel Children’s Foundation donated 1,000 toys to children and families across the Hartford HealthCare system. Dozens of those toys arrived right here at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, helping bring comfort, joy and a little extra brightness to our patients and their families.

We’re incredibly grateful for partners who continue to show up for the communities we’re proud to serve.

🌍 7 Marathons. 7 Continents. 7 Days. 🌍

What does it take to run 183 miles across the globe in just one week? Determination, grit, and a big heart.

Lisa Bienia Kenton, MD, from The Hospital of Central Connecticut, completed the Great World Race, finishing third among women! Her journey started in Antarctica, then raced through South Africa, Australia, Asia, Portugal, Colombia, and wrapped up in Miami, Florida — all while raising funds for Malan Syndrome research in honor of her niece and nephew.

HOCC’s own Dr. Lisa Kenton is rewriting what it means to go the distance! She’s now onto marathon #6 and ranked #4 among women in the Great World Race. 🔥

Lisa is running for more than glory — she’s raising $10K for Malan Syndrome research in honor of her niece and nephew. 💙
