🎉 Milestone alert!

The team at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and its Cardiac Cath Lab recently implanted their 100th CardioMEMS device!

This tiny sensor is placed in the pulmonary artery and plays a big role in helping patients with congestive heart failure. It gives care teams real-time data to better manage medications and prevent fluid overload, reducing the chance of hospital readmissions.

Congratulations to our dedicated team for making a difference—one heartbeat at a time.

Flying the Flag for Breastfeeding!

In honor of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center proudly raised the flag—both literally and figuratively—for breastfeeding support and education.

Patients, staff, and supporters gathered for special ceremonies at both campuses, where mothers shared their personal breastfeeding journeys and encouraged others to embrace this vital bond.

🚨 What looks like chaos… is actually life-saving coordination.

Recently, The Hospital of Central Connecticut teamed up with emergency responders to run a full-scale mass casualty drill—spanning multiple locations and agencies.

From Willow Brook Park to the New Britain campus, this intense simulation tested communication, triage, and rapid response systems.

Because in a real emergency, practice could mean the difference between life and death.
