Inspiring the Future of Healthcare!

The Hospital of Central Connecticut welcomed New Britain middle schoolers and their families for an exciting Career Exploration Community Event! Students had the chance to connect with experts across our hospital, discover new career paths, and imagine themselves as the next generation of caregivers, innovators, and problem-solvers.

From hands-on demos to real-life conversations with hospital teams, this event sparked curiosity and encouraged students to dream big. Thank you to all our departments and community partners for helping guide the future of healthcare.

When Seconds Count, Preparation Matters

The Hospital of Central Connecticut became a hub of collaboration and readiness as the Connecticut Emergency Nurses Association and TEEX hosted FEMA’s Pediatric Disaster Response Training. From EMS to educators, professionals across the Northeast came together to sharpen their skills and strengthen pediatric emergency preparedness.

Led by Wilma Barbosa, the troop hand-crafted and donated these tiny, heartwarming costumes — bringing big smiles to our smallest patients and their families. 💕
