AVNA (formerly OKAY Industries) engineers and manufactures components and subassemblies for OEMs in medical markets. We're a market leader in metal stamping, CNC machining, laser welding, automated assembly, design engineering and supply-chain management. AVNA's metallurgical and engineering expertise makes us a go-to supplier for implantable titanium, nitinol and other challenging metal applications. 🤔 Did You Know? Full recovery takes half the time for patients undergoing laparoscopic colectomy compared to the same open procedure. Thanks to advances in medtech, here are some other recovery facts for this procedure:
• Patients are often discharged in 2–3 days after laparoscopic colectomy
• Most return to normal activities within 3–7 days, compared to 2–4 weeks with open surgery
• Full recovery takes 2–4 weeks, versus 6–8 weeks for open procedures

We recently gathered at our Costa Rica facility to celebrate the Annexation of the Nicoya Party, commemorated every July 25th. To mark the occasion, we shared freshly made corn tortillas with our team—a simple but heartfelt way to celebrate our rich cultural heritage and the unity this day represents.

🇨🇷 In honor of the Annexation of the Partido de Nicoya, our Costa Rica facility will be closed on Friday, July 25, so our team can celebrate the holiday with their families.

Please note: AVNA U.S. facilities remain open as usual.
Normal operations in Costa Rica will resume on Monday, July 29.
