Safe Kids Middlesex County - RWJ Injury Prevention Program

Safe Kids Middlesex County - RWJ Injury Prevention Program SKMC, a member of SK Worldwide, works to prevent unintentional childhood injury. SKMC is led by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s Trauma Center.

In 1997 the Trauma Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital organized the Injury Prevention Coalition. The coalition at that time consisted of various experts in the field of healthcare focusing on injury prevention and safety. Since that time we have seen significant growth that includes contributions from numerous community partners. In 2001 we joined the National Safe Kids Campaign and became the Safe Kids of Middlesex County chapter. Due to the efforts of our members and the variety of activities and services provided through our organization, we were granted coalition status in September of 2003. 🚲⚡️ We’re excited to team up to launch our newest collaboration: Bern Helmets × RWJUH Level 1 Trauma Center! Together, we’re bringing awareness to the importance of micromobility safety and empowering riders to stay protected while enjoying their ride. To support our joint mission, we’re spotlighting the Bern Hudson, one of the few NTA-8776 certified E-Bike helmets designed and manufactured in the United States. NTA-8776 certified helmets handle higher speeds and keep riders safer than ever.
