We are excited to now offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy in our office.
A patient recently asked me:
“Is there anything that can help my shoulder heal… without surgery?”
It’s a question we hear often in orthopedics.
Many people dealing with chronic joint pain, tendon injuries, or sports-related injuries want options that support healing rather than simply masking symptoms.
That’s one of the reasons we’re excited to now offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy in our office.
PRP is a regenerative treatment that uses your body’s own platelets — which contain powerful growth factors involved in tissue repair.
Here’s how it works:
A small sample of your blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the injured or painful area to help stimulate the body’s natural healing response.
In orthopedic medicine, PRP is commonly used to help treat:
• Knee pain and early arthritis
• Shoulder injuries and rotator cuff issues
• Tendon injuries (tennis elbow, Achilles, patellar tendon)
• Ligament injuries
• Chronic joint inflammation
• Sports-related injuries
For many patients, PRP offers a minimally invasive option that supports recovery and may help delay or avoid more invasive procedures.
As orthopedic care continues to evolve, regenerative treatments like PRP are becoming an important part of helping patients stay active and move without pain.
If you’re struggling with shoulder pain, knee pain, or a lingering injury, PRP may be worth exploring.
