In case you are still on the fence about Snapchat.

** Snapchat (ordered by FCC) requires users be 13 to have an account.
** Most parents know Snapchat is bad but can't deal with the peer pressure of their kid missing out on what all the other kids have.

Hey there, warriors of the mind! 🌟 Let's talk about anxiety and the crafty ways it tries to play tricks on us. πŸ§ πŸ’
*The Illusion of Urgency:
One of anxiety's favorite tricks is creating a false sense of urgency. It whispers in our ears that we must be afraid right now, that danger is imminent. But here's the secret: most of the time, the urgency is just a smoke screen. Taking a deep breath and assessing the situation often reveals that there's no real threat at all.
*Magnifying the What-Ifs:
Anxiety loves to make us believe that every "what-if" scenario is not only possible but highly probable. It blows things out of proportion, turning a minor concern into a looming catastrophe. Remember, most of these hypotheticals are just illusions. Don't let anxiety's magnifying glass distort your reality.
*Dwelling on the Past:
Anxiety is a master of dragging us into the past, making us relive moments of fear and failure. It distorts our memories and convinces us that the past dictates the future. The truth is, we have the power to learn and grow from the past without being held captive by it.
*Projecting into the Future:
Similarly, anxiety likes to propel us into an uncertain future filled with worst-case scenarios. It convinces us that disaster is inevitable. But the future is not set in stone, and our thoughts alone can't determine what lies ahead. Embrace the present, for that's where your power lies.
*The Comparison Trap:
Anxiety often tricks us into comparing ourselves to others, making us feel inadequate or not "enough." Remember, everyone is on their unique journey, facing their battles. Don't let anxiety's distorted lens skew your perception of your own worth.
*Breaking the Spell:
Recognizing these tricks is the first step in breaking free from anxiety's grip. Challenge those deceptive thoughts, question their validity, and replace them with empowering and positive affirmations. You are stronger than anxiety wants you to believe.
Share your experiences, strategies, and insights in the comments below. Together, we can unveil the illusions and empower each other to conquer anxiety's deceitful games. πŸ’ͺ❀️

Good reminder!

When my kids see extended family, this is what happens. If my relatives think I have rude kids based on this decision, I'm okay with that.
