The Salt and the Sea Acupuncture Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Maria Zervas Batista is a Licensed Acupuncturist and a Diplomat of Acupuncture through NCCAOM.

She earned her Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Her education at Pacific College focused on Classical Eastern Medicine. Prior to attending Pacific College, Maria accumulated over 15 years of diversified capital markets experience as an investment banker, institutional research sales person, and trader. In addition to also receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Professional Studies from PCOM, Maria also attended the University of Florida in Gainesville where she majored in Marketing.
