🌟 Resident Spotlight: Meet Jill & Kenzie! 🐾💚

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our wonderful Independent Living residents, Jill, and her lovable husky companion, Kenzie!

For nearly two years, Jill and Kenzie have been such a blessing to the Hamilton Grove community. Whether they’re taking frequent walks around campus, exploring the wooded areas, or stopping by Healthcare to visit residents, this dynamic duo brings smiles wherever they go. Kenzie especially loves being around people—and our residents love her right back! 🐶

Jill enjoys the many amenities Hamilton Grove has to offer, from therapy services to the beautiful garden spaces, and she’s looking forward to retirement filled with plenty of reading, relaxing, and making even more memories here. (And yes—she says she’ll finish moving in eventually! 😄)

Last week, Chicago Trail Village turned up the fun with a festive Cinco de Mayo celebration! 🎉🌮💙

Our independent living residents enjoyed a fantastic party filled with delicious chips & salsa, refreshing mocktails, and plenty of karaoke fun! 🎤🍹

There were smiles, laughter, music, and lots of community spirit as residents came together to celebrate and enjoy a wonderful afternoon with friends and neighbors.

Events like these are just one of the many ways Chicago Trail Village keeps life vibrant, social, and full of memorable moments. It was truly a lot of fun! 😊

Last Thursday, Chicago Trail Village celebrated Mother’s Day in the sweetest way! 💚🌸

The gentlemen of CTV came together to prepare and serve a special Mother’s Day Luncheon just for the ladies - and what a wonderful event it was! From cooking to serving (and also passing out flowers), the men proudly put together a delicious meal that made the day feel extra meaningful and special. 🍽️

The ladies felt celebrated, appreciated, and truly spoiled, while everyone enjoyed a yummy meal, great company, and plenty of smiles.

It was a beautiful reminder of the thoughtful community spirit that makes Hamilton Grove such a special place to call home. 💚

Thank you to all the wonderful men who helped make this luncheon such a memorable and heartwarming celebration!

At Hamilton Grove, our Assisted Living residents love their Bingo — and they don’t mess around! 😉 What starts as a fun afternoon activity can quickly turn into some friendly (and sometimes serious!) competition.

Beyond the prizes and the excitement of calling out “Bingo!”, it’s really about the laughter, conversations, and connections that happen around the table. Residents chat, cheer each other on, and bond over every close call and winning card.

It’s more than just a game — it’s a time to gather, connect, and enjoy being part of a community. And yes… when those numbers start getting close, things can get intense! 🎱✨

Each May, we celebrate National Speech-Language-Hearing Month (NSLHM) — a time to raise awareness about communication and swallowing disorders and recognize the life-changing impact of speech therapy.

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) help individuals improve:
-Speech and language
-Memory and thinking skills
-Communication confidence
-Safe swallowing and mealtime independence

These services play a vital role in helping residents stay connected, independent, and engaged in everyday life. ✨

From Walnut Hills to Windsor of Savoy and every campus in between, our volunteers are the unsung heroes who help make our Greencroft campuses special. Their time, compassion, and dedication mean more than words can express.

At our Goshen campus last week, we were honored to host a special Volunteer Recognition Lunch celebrating those who have given hundreds—and even thousands—of hours in service to our communities. From young volunteers to lifelong servants, each person makes a meaningful impact every single day.

Across our beautiful 200+ acre campus, wildlife is part of everyday life — and recently, a peaceful family of deer was spotted wandering the grounds in the early morning light. Moments like these remind us just how special our setting truly is.
